In a ceremony tonight at the University of Toledo Scott Park Auditorium, Toledo Fire & Rescue will graduate the 2012 Fire Class. This is the first class since 2011.
Approximately half of the class of 2012 has already seen assignments in Toledo Fire & Rescue Department stations as they have previous certification as E.M.T.-Basic, or E.M.T.-Paramedic, prior to being hired by T.F.R.D.
This graduation comes months following the swearing in ceremony that was held on December 3, 2012. Following the ceremony, the class was involved in weeks of class room training, as well as practical application of the techniques that they were taught.
